Clark-Pleasant Middle School Band Information

The Clark-Pleasant Middle School band creates memories as a family. We are dedicated to our art as we work together to improve as musicians. We inspire, encourage, and care for others. We are hard working and goal focused. Each year is a blank canvas and we are the painters that make it beautiful.

Congratulations CPMS Band Students! 

CPMS Band was one of 20+ schools in Indiana to receive the ISSMA "All Music" Award this year. This award was given to us based on the following: Gold Rating at ISSMA MS Concert Band Contest, Gold Rating Solo & Ensemble at the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble contest, and Gold Rating at the ISSMA Jazz Contest. We are very proud of all of our band students! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the program! 

Paige's Music "Step-up" Instrument Appointments

Please sign-up for a Paiges Music "Step-up" Instrument Appointment as soon as possible! Paiges will be at CPMS on Wednesday September 11th! We encourage you to take advantage of this program to get your student on the best instruments possible.

​INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Go to: www.paigesmusic.com/schedule 
  2. Select your school and event date from the drop-down menu.
  3. Find your school's event date on the calendar and click to show available appointments.
  4. Select your preferred appointment time from the list on the right
  5. Scroll down to input your name (parent/guardian), phone number, and email.
  6. Click "continue".
  7. To finalize your appointment, provide your student's name and instrument, and indicate if you have a current rental.
  8. Click "finish".
At this point you will receive an email confirmation. Should you need to make any changes after this, please contact Chelsea Whittington at cwhittington@paigesmusic.com  1.800.382.1099.


Welcome Back! 

We hope that everyone had a fun a relaxing (and hopefully musical) break!
Students WILL NOT need their instruments the first day of school. Please make sure you have located all of your supplies for class (instrument, mouthpiece, foundations book, binder (with plastic sheets), valve oil, slide grease, reeds, etc. If you need to purchase any items, please contact  Paiges Music.

Students will need instruments/supplies in class by Friday August 2nd! 
Students will be given a band handbook form  on the first day which needs to be signed and returned by Friday August 2nd 

A huge welcome to Mrs. Andrea Van Hof who will be with us during Mrs. Ellinger's Maternity leave! She is a well established musician and educator and we are very excited to welcome her to our CPMS Band Family!

Instrument Rental Contracts

Any students that are renting a school-owned instrument will be receiving the rental contract and instrument at the beginning of the school year. 

Please read the handout below to understand how to help your student keep repair costs low.
If you have an outstanding repair balance from last year, please make sure you take care of that as well. 
The $50 rental fee and contact need to be turned in by Wednesday August 7th. Please make checks payable to CPMS.

Private Lessons Available

We have several good private lessons teachers if you are interested in getting additional help and personal attention on your instrument. Please contact Ms. Briel (Kbriel@cpcsc.k12.in.us) if you are interested.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact one of the band directors.  Email is the easiest and quickest way for us to respond, but you can call 535-3180 and leave a voice mail if you would like.
